The Red Queen
“Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place” – The Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland
Optimism enables us to thrive, but pessimism is crucial for us to survive. Combining the two effectively is a superpower, and a duality exhibited by those who weather storms whilst simultaneously charting new paths.
While this article focuses on business and investing, the lessons are applicable to any endeavour.
Siberian Pianos
“I know now that only by trying to undertake something difficult, do the most interesting things happen”
An epic journey to discover the pianos that survived both the harsh regimes, and the harsh weather of Siberia. And most importantly, that brought joy to the people. Oh, and there are some snow-drenched Tigers along the way too.
Uncut Gems
Uncut Gems showcases a side to Adam Sandler few knew he had, and was a far departure from his typical comedic roles. An engaging and at times shocking film, what stood out most is the off-kilter soundtrack. It doesn’t complement the story and you might even find yourself asking whether there’s something wrong with the audio-sync. Drenched in 80s synths and with dreamy soundscapes, this Soundtrack is worth listening to on its own – and would make a good companion for your daydreams.
May you live a good life, and may your art live long.
